JLP is ...
Jesus Loves People (JLP) is an altruistic and long-term Christian evangelism project. JLP is organised as a non-profit registered association. JLP is organisationally autonomous from particular denominations and individual churches, but is entirely dependent upon God’s Word in the Bible and upon a living relationship with God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit. JLP is also reliant on economic support, on Christians’ intercessory prayers and on good relations with other community participants. JLP is not a church and therefore JLP does not arrange public meetings. JLP relates neutrally to party politics.
JLP is non-denominational and evangelical. JLP primarily directs people to a personal commitment to follow Jesus Christ and studying the Bible, and secondarily refers people to fellowship at optional Christian local churches. JLP is characterised by impartial, uncompromising and respectful edification.
JLP believes ...
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to forgiveness from sin and reconciliation with God. We believe that Jesus Christ is the world’s only true Saviour. We believe that Jesus Christ has all authority in heaven and on earth. We believe that prayer, Bible-study and fellowship with other Christians is of vital importance to all people. We believe that God’s gift of redemption from sin and eternal life is received freely by anyone through personal faith, confession, repentance and baptism.

JLP recognises the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization (LCWE) as an international direction for the worldwide Christian Church. JLP therefore also acknowledges the Lausanne Covenant, the Manila Manifesto and The Cape Town Commitment.

JLP mission ...
JLP’s primary objective is to lead people to salvation through faith and repentance to Jesus Christ; who is the Son of God and the Jewish Messiah. JLP mission is: (a) to proclaim the way to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, (b) to guide people into a personal relationship with God, (c) to instruct people to continue in faith and repentance to Jesus Christ, and (d) to direct people to Christian fellowship and to refer people to local Christian congregations. JLP assignment is to preach God’s merciful gospel through core presentations of Jesus Christ, and through relevant, true and uncompromising messages based on the Bible. [Acts 10:42-43]
JLP methods ...
JLP operates principally a sowing ministry. JLP sows the Word of God into people. JLP’s primary methods are announcement of gospel truths via street-evangelism tracts and through verbal communication. JLP method is based on the biblical principle of sowing and reaping, with faith that the Bible is God’s true, living and active word of God [Heb 4:12].
JLP [Mark 4:14] acknowledge that the word of God [Luke 8:11] shall be preached [Luke 24:27] and explained [Acts 8:31] so that people hear the message, [Acts 15:7] understand, believe, [Acts 4:4] invoke God [Romans 10:14] and thereby produce a crop [Matthew 13:23].
JLP history ...
JLP was founded in January 1999 with the registered name and logo Jesus Loves Stockholm (JAS). In year 2001, JAS predominantly used the public name and logo Jesus Loves Sweden (JAS) together with the name Jesus Loves People. In September 2010, JAS officially switched name to Jesus Loves People (JLP).
JAS became JLP for three reasons. Firstly, the evangelism project was increasingly reaching non-Swedish people and therefore needed to adopt a more international profile. Secondly, because of the anti-Christian and anti-Semitic sentiments of sectors of the Swedish society,
the evangelism project JAS could for Christian ethical reasons not continue to be incorrectly associated with Swedish nationalism. Dissociation from Sweden was ethically necessary. And thirdly, because of globally increased anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism, JLP was biblically and morally obligated to side with God, and was hence compelled to associate with Christianity's Jewish roots and with Israel.
